GeoPaths is a National Science Foundation funded program for first-year, second-year, and transfer students who are undeclared or interested in switching majors to geoscience. The goal of the program is to create a knowledge and support system for new geology majors at San Jose State University through peer, graduate, and faculty mentorship and guidance. Students from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds, identify as LGBTQIA+, a woman, or physically challenged are especially encouraged to apply for the program. 欲了解更多信息,请访问网站 here.

RSCA学生奖学金(SRF)

Funds from this program are intended for student compensation and RSCA-related travel. The RSCA学生比赛(SRC) allows 菠菜网lol正规平台 graduate and undergraduate students to present their original RSCA and compete for selection as 菠菜网lol正规平台 representatives at both 菠菜网lol正规平台’s Celebration of Research on April 27, 2023, and the statewide Annual California State University Student Research Competition hosted by San Diego State University 2023年4月28日至29日.

This competition provides an opportunity for RSCA-active students to present their work and gain feedback from a panel of 菠菜网lol正规平台 subject matter expert. Students must be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students, or alumni who received their 2022年春季,夏季或秋季的学位. 学生还必须有原创作品 RSCA和一名上海州立大学的教员. 每个入围选手或入围团体将 receive a $300 award to support travel to the CSU-wide competition in San Diego at the end of April.

National Institute of Health's Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC U-STAR) awards provide support for undergraduate students who are underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences to improve their preparation for high-caliber graduate training at the Ph.D. level. The program also supports efforts to strengthen the science course curricula, pedagogical skills of faculty and biomedical research training at institutions with significant enrollments of students from underrepresented groups.
